2011 Flying Season & Dues Renewal

Welcome to the 2011 flying season!! As we enter the upcoming flying season, there is some business to conduct on behalf of our club and our club’s membership, as well as update you all on some upcoming VARCHA events.
The first order of business is the collection of club dues. A lot of work is put into running the business affairs of the club, and club dues are an integral part of our success. So needless to say, club dues for 2011 are now due, if you haven’t already paid.
Our dues renewal schedule for 2011 is as follows:
Current members:
o Payment of $65 for the 2011 season, needs to be received no later than March 15, 2011, along with a completed membership application. A PDF is available at here, please send the completed membership application to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Note: To fill out the PDF online you can use a free service such as FillAnyPdf.com
New members:
o $50 initiation fee + $65 full membership registration dues, along with the completed membership application.
Dues can be paid to VARCHA, following any of the following methods:
o PayPal – You can send the registration dues via PayPal to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Put ‘VARCHA Registration Dues’ in the subject line along with your Full Name. I will follow up with an email that payment was received.
o Postal Mail – You can mail a personal check to me, payable to ‘VARCHA’. Mail the check to my address: 621 Kings Grant Rd, Culpeper, VA 22701. I will follow up with an email when the payment is received.
o In Person – You can provide payment in person to myself at the flying field. Personal checks are preferred but not required. Please make personal checks out to ‘VARCHA’. I will follow up with an email that payment was received.
As a reminder, in accordance with the VARCHA by-laws (Article 3), all members flying at the VARCHA field are required to have current dues paid and their membership current with AMA. Also, please be sure you carry proof of AMA membership with you at VARCHA at all times.
In other news, we have a bunch of great events planned for 2011!! At the end of last seaon we received permission from Luck Stone to build some picnic tables at the field, so hopefully that will help eliminate the need to lug a table to the field.
May 2011 - FAI & 3D Clinic - Once again we will be hosting this clinic which has been expanded to 4 days with an intensive program on Thursday and Friday. And this year we will feature Scott Gray, Marcus Kim and Nick Maxwell as instructors.
May 2011 - FAI Contest - This is your chance to try your skill at F3C flying… so if you can do some simple hovering and a few aerobatics this is your chance.
July 2011 - Hobby Hangar Day
September 30, October 1 - 2, 2011 - 2011 Heli-Invasion - Yep its back and it’ll be even bigger and better this year.
