Get the Season Started: VARCHA Opening Day and Open House

Have you noticed something? Yea, that's right it's been getting warmer. Quite honestly, I was thinking spring would never show up!! So with the warmer temperatures and lighter winds it's time we "officially" open the VARCHA field and have an Opening Day.

The Virginia Radio Controlled Helicopter Association (VARCHA) will be hosting opening day and an open house on Saturday April 23, starting at 10 am. This will be the official opening of the field for the 2011 flying season. As usual for our club events, we will have having free food, drinks and fun. This will also be a great event for people looking to check out VARCHA and see what we are all about.

On Saturday, we will also have the club trainer for your use as well, so this is a perfect event for beginners to come out and try heli flying. Also for those wanting heli flying instruction, VARCHA will once again be hosting our annual Heli Clinic on May 20-22, 2011. This year we will be featuring numerous pro and rep pilots, including Scott Gray, Marcus Kim, new for this year Nick Maxwell, along with Bill Jackson and Jan Matros!! I will be making the official announcement very soon, so stay tuned for all the nitty gritty details.

So it's time to get your helis dusted off, your batteries charged and get to the VARCHA field on Saturday, April 23.
